Duane Miller, Board at Large

Duane discovered his passion for photography shortly after college, when a friend at work encouraged him to take a darkroom class at the company recreation center. He was immediately hooked and began carrying a camera everywhere he traveled, capturing images across most of the United States and several of his “bucket list” destinations worldwide.

Specializing in landscape, nature, and travel photography, Duane also finds inspiration in unusual, humorous, and off-beat subjects that challenge his creative eye. He particularly enjoys the artistic process of post-processing, using Photoshop and other tools to transform his images beyond what the camera alone captures. For him, photography is about creating art — pushing boundaries and finding joy in the transformation of vision into expression.

Committed to growth, Duane has taken numerous classes and workshops over the years, continually refining his craft. His work has been licensed through Getty Images and sold as fine art prints around the world through Fine Art America. He is a proud member of the Professional Photographers of America (PPA), the Tennessee Professional Photographers Association (TNPPA), and the Professional Photographers of Middle Tennessee (PPMT). In 2022 he earned his Master of Photography degree from the PPA.
